3 Alarm Multi-Home Fire in Seaside Heights, NJ | 3 Houses Burn | Heavy Fire Conditions

Seaside Heights, NJ — Around 3:30AM, Ocean County dispatch sent Station 44 (Seaside Heights Fire Department) to a reported fully involved structure fire.
While units were responding, multiple callers reported heavy fire visible. Upon arrival, Chief 4400 reported three separate homes actively burning, with fire already extending between structures. The incident was immediately upgraded to a third alarm, bringing in mutual aid from surrounding departments including Seaside Park, Lavallette, Toms River, Point Pleasant Beach, and South Toms River.
Initial reports indicated one home fully involved, a second structure with heavy fire on one side and minor interior extension, and a third residence with a well-involved top floor showing fire through the roof.
Firefighters deployed multiple handlines and ladder pipes, operating in both offensive and defensive modes as conditions rapidly evolved. Crews worked aggressively to contain the fire, protect exposures, and prevent further extension in the tightly spaced residential area.
Due to the volume of fire and proximity of structures, operations required coordinated efforts from multiple companies, including elevated master streams and sustained interior attacks where conditions allowed.
At this time, injuries are unknown, and the cause of the fire remains under investigation by the Ocean County Fire Marshal’s Office.
